A sponsor occupying a site in Travis FamCamp is allowed per FamCamp OI to have up to two separate 90-day reservations within a 365-day period, totaling 180 days. Those two reservations may be back-to-back. First, a 90-day reservation may be requested within the eligible time period determined by
sponsor’s current military status (see reservation policy below for details). Once the sponsor has
occupied their existing reservation for 60 days, and is thus precisely 30 days from the END of
their first reservation, he/she is then eligible to request a second 90-day reservation. Extension requests can be submitted conveniently online here . The second reservation will be processed within three business days and may be awarded based on (1) current good-standing status of sponsor’s account; and (2) availability of sites within the camp for the requested dates. There is no guarantee that the second 90-day reservation will be awarded, and FamCamp reserves the right to move the sponsor to a new site for the second reservation. Once the latter 90 days is completed, the sponsor cannot return to Travis FamCamp until 185 days has passed, thus completing the 365-day cycle. It is incumbent upon the sponsor to request the second 90-day reservation within the appropriate time frame; the reservations manager will not keep a running list of sponsors who might request an extension. Please read the FamCamp OI for more information.
All reservations for full hook-up sites (back-in only; no pull-through sites available) at Travis FAM Camp may be submitted online here or over the phone (Note: Online requests have priority). (1) First priority is given to Uniform Service members and their family members, (Active Duty and Active Reserves) who are eligible to make reservations up to 90 days in advance. (2) Second priority is given to Service Retirees and their family members, who are eligible to make reservations up to 60 days in advance. These include members of the Retired Reserve, and retired without pay (including those who have qualified for retired pay at age 60 but have not yet reached age 60), and their family members. (3) All remaining eligible patrons listed in “Attachment 2, General MWR Program Eligibility and Use (T-0)” can make reservations up to 30 days in advance. These include: Medal of Honor and Purple Heart Recipients; Former and/or surviving spouses and family members; DoD Civilians; Honorably discharged veterans with service-connected disability holding a VHIC card. (4) Any remaining open sites will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations can be made for 90 days at a time. No advance reservations may be made to circumvent the length of stay policy with the exception of a current reservation ending within 30 days and space is available. No specific site can be reserved.
